Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania's most underrated parks. The park combines a spectacular salt lake β€” pink in the rainy season from thousands of flamingos β€” with lush groundwater forest and open savanna. Famous for its tree-climbing lions: behaviour rarely observed anywhere else in the world. Ideal as the first or last park in a circuit β€” 2 hours from Arusha.
