Pole pole — no rush

The philosophy of the island

On Zanzibar, life follows the principle of "Pole pole" — Swahili for "slowly, slowly". After all the impressions of the safari, this is the place to unwind. No agenda, no rush. White beaches, swaying palms and the crystal-blue Indian Ocean invite you to slow down. You notice it as soon as the plane lands: the air is different, people smile wider, time moves more slowly.
