The classic route
Arusha — arrival & preparation
The circuit starts in Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania. Collin is waiting at the airport and arranges everything before departure. You stay one or two nights in Arusha to recover from the flight and prepare for the safari.
Tarangire — elephants & baobabs
The first park always surprises. Thousands of elephants, enormous baobabs and the Tarangire River as the lifeblood. Quieter than the Serengeti, just as impressive. Jonas knows exactly which herds drink at which banks.
Serengeti — Big Five & the Great Migration
The heart of the circuit. Endless plains, large concentrations of predators and from June to October the Great Migration with 1.5 million wildebeest. Jonas knows exactly where to be, every season of the year.
Ngorongoro Crater — Big Five guarantee
The largest intact volcanic crater in the world: more than 25,000 animals in 260 km², including the rare black rhino. A finale you will never forget. Jonas's tip: "Always start with Tarangire and end with Ngorongoro — the crater as a finale always works."
Zanzibar — beach finale (optional)
For many travellers Zanzibar is the perfect finale. Crystal-blue water, white sand and Stone Town. A domestic flight takes you there in 40 minutes. Pole pole — no rush.
