About this activity
After sunset the park transforms completely. The large herds retreat and the night belongs to other inhabitants: the aardvark digging for termites, the civet cat sneaking through tall grass, the genet balancing cat-like over branches. With a powerful spotlight from the Land Rover you see what others miss. Tarangire is one of the few parks in Tanzania where night safaris are permitted.
